The Union of Concerned Scientists estimates that rising seas and coastal flooding in the coming years will have profound economic implications for coastal areas.
They posit that under a high sea level rise scenario, by 2045 roughly 1800 existing homes in Texas 27th Congressional District (which includes Rockport) risk being chronically flooded.
