The shipwreck image is one I keep coming back to in my work. 
It is a metaphor for this poor dear planet and what we are doing to it.

The Dancing Coat
1999
Kona cotton; printed, over-dyed, discharged, stamped; quilted, embellished; reversible.
Inspired by a Koryak Dancing Coat . The original garment was thought to have belonged to a shaman; it was decorated with bone ornaments which may have represented a star map.
